My response was simple - if I as a resident of the city and a mother of 3 children currently enrolled in the schools don't work to fix the problems then who will? While I know our district has it challenges, I believe we are on the right track to solving the issues. Low graduation rates are a concern and we are working to put in supports to make sure that all of our students are successful. Strong and consistent leadership is what it takes and I believe I have exhibited those characteristics during my time on the board. Service to our students, staff and our families are my top priority as we work to make our district "world class."
